Balatonlelle

The city offers plenty of attractions for all ages and everyone can find an exciting program. For wine lovers, we recommend the Konyári Winery or the IKON Winery, and for lunch, the Vitorlás restaurant, the Kedvesem Bistro or the Majthényi Présház, from which the Kishegy viewpoint is not so far located, are also excellent choices.

The Szalay Castle in Balatonlelle hosts the Africa Museum, which presents the Africa collection of Count Somssich Pongrácz and István Soltész. In the first exhibition hall of the Balatonlelle Historical Collection and Stotz Gallery, you can see and read the history of Balatonlelle from prehistoric times to the present day. In the gallery, those interested can view the oeuvre of Mihály Stotz, a graphic and set designer who won the UNESCO prize.

Those who like active recreation can try go-karting and have fun in the Balatonlelle Amusement Park from the beginning of June to the middle of August. There are several options from the port of Lelle, for a cruise or even a sunset tour.

The most beautiful part of the resort town is Szent István tér, next to the train station, with a Mediterranean atmosphere, and the promenade starting from here.

The area became internationally recognized in 2009 when the title of Dark-Sky (or Starry Sky) Park was awarded by the International Dark Sky Association. Zselic Park of Stars consists of a public observatory, a 25 m tall wooden belvedere, and resting points in the forest.

The Zselic Park of Stars offers unforgettable experiences to all visitors who are interested in deepening scientific understanding of nature and the universe surrounding us. Visitors may learn about the natural treasures of the Zselic region, the forest and water habitats and the wonders of the sky, such as the Milky Way and the view of zodiacal light, phenomena which are not at all or only barely visible from light pollution in most areas. The Park, the forest itself, is open almost always, day and night - except September and February-March, when the time and roads for hiking are constrained. The observatory can be visited from Tuesday-Sunday, within the framework of individual, family or school programmes. Night programmes are typically on Fridays, but other days also can be arranged.

Please note that you can not visit the observatory like a museum on your own. They have guided programs according their schedule.

Somogyaszálo - Experience shooting range

They provide a civilized and quality environment for those looking to enjoy shooting as a special source of recreation, regardless of them having a gun license or not. Moreover they devised the layout in such a way, where anyone without any prior training or experience should feel accomplished and successful even after the first time In order to facilitate this, their guests can shoot with high-quality, recongnizable and popular weapons (Glock, Desert Eagle, AK 47 Kalashnikov, Dragunov, Mauser, Heckler & Koch, etc.) Their trap machines are automated and remote controlled.  Most of their rifles, even the air rifles are equipped with optical sights and are precision instruments.
